This was a post on Facebook by my Nephew earlier today. It speaks very clearly regarding how we as Christians are seen by unbelievers (especially those caught up in certain sins we feel deserve more attention).
Talk about coming from the "mouth of babes."
"I'm pretty sure that adultery, reality tv, porn, and celebrities are what is actually damaging the sanctity of marriage. Where are those protesters? Where is the petition to make those illegal? My marriage should have no affect on yours, unless you are married to me. That is all."
His point is that when we focus too much on certain sins over others that are just as damaging to society are we Christian not being hypocrites? God calls us as His children to be the "salt AND light" in this world. Let us remind ourselves every day to speak God's truth in LOVE.
