Masculine Holiness

What is "Masculine Holiness?" The best definition I have ever heard is that by C.T. Studd

"Masculine Holiness is one of daring faith and works for Jesus Christ."

Christian men today are at a crossroads. We know what we are "supposed" to be, but many are unsure of what steps to take to get there. Christian men today have it pounded in their heads how they need to shape up as husbands, fathers, workers, and any of a myriad of other things of which we as men are expected to be. The problem is that there has been such a long gap of true masculine holiness being passed down from previous generations. In my opinion, I feel that this generational gapping begin during he 60's and lasted well into the 90's. If you doubt what I am saying, just look at the 30 and younger generation of men out there today. Many have no idea of what they are supposed to be, much less having a clue of how to get there. This have caused what I would call a "generational gap" in knowledge being passed down during the last couple of decades.

So what do we do? How to we close this gap and keep it from happening again?

The first thing we all must do is get off of our "blessed assurance" and get our butts back into the Word of God!!! Without getting too deep into another subject I am passionate about, I feel without a doubts that the biggest problem we have in the church today is the issue of biblical ignorance. Men have NO idea what the bible says about hardly anything except from what they have "heard" somebody preach or teach about. Unfortunately, many of "this teaching" has little relevance to the bible and has led many of us down the road of biblical laziness. One of the best things I was ever taught, was to have my bible open and verifying what I was being taught either from the pulpit or from any other source. i.e. make sure whatever is being taught to you is coming "correctly" from the bible. The only way to do that is to have a "CLUE" what the Word of God actually says.

That means us men need to get our faces back into the Word of God! That is the first step toward true masculine holiness.
